I recently played Distilled. This is a fun game. It’s now on my wish list and I hope that I’ll get a chance to play the game again or even buy a copy for myself.

Distilled is a board game where you play the role of beneficiary to an inherited distillery. Some relative of yours has died. How sad. But they left you their distillery. That’s great! Now your job is to take those starting resources and secret family recipe to compete against other beneficiaries to become the greatest distillery in all the land.
Choose your starting character. The character you choose to start off with will come with a unique set of resources and perks to get you started. Use those first few resources to distill, bottle, and sell your first batch. The proceeds of that sale can then be used to grow your distillery operation.
The game gives you seven rounds to become the best. Play requires careful and thoughtful planning. You’ll need to take advantage of special ingredients and opportunities to upgrade as they become available, but resources will always be limited. Your distillery will do better if you can acquire better recipes and then distill and bottle them to be sold.
After seven rounds, the winner is going to be the player who best managed the resources, planned the plan, followed through, and had a bit of luck, too. The skills you need to do well with Distilled is a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and to think strategically.
I had a great time playing Distilled. It took me a few rounds to get into the flow of the possible actions and then to begin considering an appropriate strategy. The edition of the game I played was a deluxe. There were metal coins, instead of cardboard cut outs. All the other pieces and cards were high quality. The art and design were nice and cohesive; being complementary to the theme of the game.
Distilled is a great game and it’s made by Paverson Games.
